Jon Patrick
Head of Leisure & Development
Jon joined Christie & Co in 1984 and has extensive experience in the sale and valuation of leisure businesses, together with the development of leisure and hospitality property involving both solus and mixed-use schemes.
In the early 1990's he was instrumental in the development of the company's corporate pubs business. In 1995 he established Christie & Co’s Leisure and Development team working throughout the UK with clients such as: Academy Leisure, Bannatyne Fitness, Berkeley Group, BDO, Buccleuch Property, David Lloyd Leisure, Downing LLP, Duff & Phelps, Duke Street Capital, Deloitte, Fitness4Less, FX Leisure, Harrison Developments, Hermes, Leeds City Council, LaSalle Investment Management, Loanstar, Nuffield Health PwC, RBS, Rushbond Group, Swire Properties, The Parks Trust, Whitbread and World of Golf.
Jon has a national role liaising closely with corporate leisure and hospitality clients, operators, private equity houses, banks and insolvency practitioners as well as developers and investors.
His key transactions and advisory work includes:
• The £55m disposal of Whitbread’s Chiswell Street Brewery in London
• The sale of the former St Olave’s Grammar School at 1 Tower Bridge on behalf of Berkeley Group
• Providing strategic valuation and disposal advice to Lloyds Banking Group ahead of the sale of David Lloyd Leisure
• Providing valuation and strategic disposal advice to Luminar Group Holdings Plc and the company’s banking consortium ahead of “Pre-pack” sale of the business.
