Position Summary

Christie & Co is looking for a Hotel Broker to join the dynamic Hotel Investment team in our Barcelona or Madrid office. The Real Estate Sales Professional will be responsible for generating sales transactions through prospecting and networking efforts.

This position is great opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual with passion for Real Estate, a strong sales orientation and the desire to become an expert in the Hotel real estate sector. Responsibilities Include

  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the entire real estate operation, from securing real estate listings to the signing of contracts, through the administration and monitoring of the transaction.
  • Developing relations with existing clients and with new and potential clients (hotel owners, buyers and sellers).
  • Identifying potential buyers for specific assignments, contacting clients directly and following up during the lifetime of the assignment, and attending relevant hospitality events in networking efforts.
  • To conduct field visits of properties and markets.
  • Active participation in all aspects of transaction and search of operator processes.
  • Preparation of high-quality deliverables and presentation materials to clients, including pitches, price advice, information memorandums and teasers, and all other transaction related documentation. Liaise with our marketing team when necessary.
  • Active role in sale and business development meetings to generate enquiries and assignments: Presenting Christie & Co credentials, delivering pricing advice and securing sale mandates.
  • Over the phone and in person, to present preliminary information about hotel opportunities to potential buyers and to answer basic questions about due diligence materials.
  • To track client intelligence via the maintenance of company internal database.
  • Implement internal procedures for the prevention of money laundering

Knowledge and skills

  • Previous experience in selling real estate assets (residential, offices, commercial, hotels..).
  • Interest in building a rewarding career in the hotel sector, although experience in the sector is not required
  • Business Acumen, Negotiation skills and Sales oriented.
  • Self-organized and motivated. Persistent intuitive, attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach with a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Polite and professional.
  • Advanced Spanish and English written and verbal skills. Additional languages are desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point. Understanding of Sales Force Database is desirable.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to travel.

Working Relationships & Contacts

The role will work closely with and report directly to the Director of Investment and, indirectly, to the Managing Director for Spain & Portugal. Equally, you will work closely

with other team members in the country and with the support team of back office, and marketing personnel.
