Despite the hospitality sector facing a wave of new challenges in 2022, the market for quality pub and restaurant assets across the North West remains buoyant. Although more recently, buyers have become more focused on securing freeholds in affluent areas and tourist destinations where they can add more value. These are often “once in a generation” opportunities, sought by both independent multi-site operators and North West breweries.
There has also been an increased focus on pubs with rooms, additional land, or attractive views, as buyers are looking to maximise returns on capital and benefit from the growing “staycation” market.
We advised on over 2,100 pubs and restaurants across the UK last year. Here’s a roundup of some of our recent sales and current opportunities on the market across the North West.
