The care home formerly occupied a period property which is connected to a large purpose-built two-storey extension with a total of 48 bedrooms, 29 of which have en suite facilities. The site is located in Buckinghamshire, approximately one kilometre to the north of Wendover.
The former Chiltern Court Care Home has been purchased by Salveo Care Ltd, a family-run provider of nursing and residential care homes in South Buckinghamshire.
Speaking on behalf of Salveo Care Ltd, Managing Director, Peter Evans, comments, “Chiltern Court has been closed and derelict for a number of years and, although the current building would not meet 21st century standards, the site is in a beautiful location, nicely screened, and will make a welcome addition to the Salveo ethos for high-quality care.
“Going forward, we want to retain as much of the trees and open space as possible, but the buildings are in such a poor state of repair that we will seek planning to demolish the current mix of buildings and construct a sympathetic purposeful design to benefit our community.”
Jordan Oborne, Associate Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I’m pleased Peter Evans of Salveo Care was the successful buyer, over the years we’ve sold other care homes to them and hope there will be more transactions in the future.
“The care home market in Buckinghamshire is strong, and we continue to see care home operators looking to buy, convert or build care homes with a best-in-class approach in mind.”
Chiltern Court Care Home was sold off an asking price of £2,200,000.
