Dalhousie Castle & Aqueous Spa is Scotland’s oldest inhabited castle, located just eight miles from Edinburgh. The 13th century castle features 35 bedrooms, a spa and 2 AA rosette dining in the atmospheric Dungeon Restaurant. It has broad appeal and attracts a wide demographic of leisure, MICE and wedding business.

The hotel has been owned and operated by Robert and Gina Parker, as part of their luxury hotel group, The Robert Parker Hotel Collection and came to the market after they announced their decision to retire earlier this year.

The transaction was brokered by Gary Witham Director in Christie & Co’s Scottish Hospitality team and David Lee Regional Director of Hotels – North.

Gary comments, “This is a stunning heritage asset within easy reach of Edinburgh, and it will undoubtedly reap the benefits of the capital’s burgeoning overseas leisure market, which was proven by the strong international interest in the hotel.”

David adds, “I have known Mr Parker for a number of years’, and we are delighted to conclude the sale of Dalhousie Castle Hotel for him.”
