Situated on Blawearie Road, the store is surrounded by a large mix of residential properties and is a cherished business among the local community.

The store has been owned and run by James Thomson for over 38 years, who recently decided to sell to retire.

James comments, “Liam and Christie & Co were extremely helpful in managing the sale of our business. We were happy that our asking price was achieved and would recommend Christie & Co to anyone looking to sell their retail business.”

The Wee Shop has been purchased by Deepak Kumar who has moved from Wales to take over and run the business.

Liam Bain, Business Agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, comments, “This was a quick turnaround from coming to the market to then being under offer.  The market for all types of retail shops across Scotland remains strong, driven by the many buyers who are looking to purchase profitable retail businesses with scope to increase turnover further”.
