North Devon pub to be revitalised under experienced new owner

The pub comprises a bar, a restaurant, a separate room formerly used as a family room, and a lawned garden. There are also nine en-suite letting rooms, and two apartments for owners’ accommodation.
Situated in a prominent roadside position on a busy route into Woolacombe, the renowned holiday and surfing resort in North Devon less than two miles away, the pub is well-placed to attract trade from the many nearby holiday parks and campsites. The area is also on the South West Coastal path and close to the Tarka Trail.
The pub has been sold to Richard Wheeler, an experienced operator who owns the Royal Britannia Hotel in nearby Ilfracombe. Mr Wheeler plans to refurbish the pub and re-open with a new food and drink offering, which will likely include a Sunday Carvery.
