The Links Hotel is situated on the main road into Seahouses, a vibrant and hugely popular fishing village beautifully located on a prime stretch of coastline between and Bamburgh and Alnmouth. It comprises a bar, restaurant and 10 en suite bedrooms, plus a car park and decked terrace.

The town is regarded as one of the main seaside destinations on the North East coast and boasts its own sandy beach and quaint harbour, from which there are a variety of tours to the nearby Farne Islands.

The new owners, The Inn Collection Group, own and operate a number of large hotel and hospitality businesses across the North of England and Wales.

Sean Donkin, Managing Director of the group comments, “We are very happy to have acquired The Links in Seahouses and to have worked with Christie & Co again after doing so on last year’s purchase of the St Kilda Hotel in Llandudno. Whilst the focus of The Inn Collection Group is on consolidation and completing the refurbishments that are currently underway or about to begin, we remain active in the market, should the right opportunities become available. The Links Hotel very much counts as one of those. Christie & Co has been first rate during the process and working together with them and Bradley Hall as advisors, has once again delivered a positive result for The Inn Collection Group.”

The previous owners, Julie Dawson and Malcolm Sutton have owned The Links for 22 years and decided to sell to pursue other business interests. Julie comments, “We have had some wonderful years here and have met some lovely people and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients and customers and wish the new owners all the best for their business  venture”

Handling the sale on behalf of the sellers, Julie and Malcolm, was Christie & Co’s North East based Hotel Director, Mark Worley. He comments, “The sale of The Links further illustrates the strength of the hospitality market in the North East and indeed across the whole of the UK. Hotels and B&B businesses are in great demand, particularly those in national parks, seaside resorts or any tourist and leisure driven destination.”

Neil Hart, Group CEO of Bradley Hall who led the acquisition said, “We are delighted to continue our work with The Inn Collection Group, as they push ahead with their expansion plans, and this deal is also a brilliant example of the buoyant Northumberland property market in which we are very active.”
