‘Commended’ Dorset care home sold to local operator

Millbrook House is a ‘Good’ rated, Grade II Listed residential care home which occupies an extended, elegant Georgian residence set within two acres of beautiful gardens at the foot of Hambledon Hill in Child Okeford, Dorset. It is registered for 33 services users in the category of Old Age, and was recently commended by the Gold Standards Framework.
The home has been owned by Christine Wood since 1997 and was recently brought to market to allow her to retire from the sector.
Following a highly confidential sales process, it has been purchased by R & G Quality Care Ltd which owns two other care homes in the area; The Old Rectory in Stalbridge and Bramley House in Mere.
Christine Wood comments, “It has been a pleasure owning and operating Millbrook House over the last 25 years, and I am proud of the work we have done at the home over this period. I am sad to be leaving, but felt it was the right time to pass the business onto a new owner who will be able to continue to offer the high standard of care provided by the staff.”

Millbrook House was sold for an undisclosed price.
