‘Outstanding’ Bramhall nursery sold to experienced Nursery Manager

Established 28 years ago, Fledglings Pre-school & Day Nursery is a first-class children's day nursery with an enviable reputation for high-quality childcare and an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. The nursery is registered to care for up to 47 children aged from around eight months to five years, and trades from an extended purpose-built, one-storey property.

The nursery sits in the affluent suburb of Bramhall in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and is positioned within the grounds of a highly reputable school. This leafy residential setting offers idealistic surroundings for a nursery and is conveniently located for the major commuter routes.

The business was previously owned by Mr Alan and Mrs Julie Longbottom who decided to sell to pursue well-earned retirements. Maintaining fantastic ethos and brand value over the last three decades, the pair have successfully shaped a rewarding and lucrative business with truly remarkable occupancy levels.

Fledglings has been purchased by first-time buyer, Mrs Bhavani Mehta, who has worked as a Nursery Manager for many years but felt the time was right to own her own nursery. Mrs Mehta, who lives locally, was aware of the setting and its exceptional reputation and knew straight away that this was the business for her as she has a very similar ethos and work ethic as the current owner.
