St Cecilia care home in Poole sold for the first time since 1988

St Cecilia is a ‘Good’ rated care home registered for 15 service users in the category of Old Age, Dementia and Mental Health. The business occupies a two-storey detached Edwardian former family home which sits in a quiet, residential setting a few minutes’ walk from Westbourne, in a convenient location for both Bournemouth and Poole.

Since 1988, the home has been owned and operated by Robert and Ruth Eshelby who were committed to providing the highest standard of care for their residents. Robert had previously worked for Dorset social services before setting up the care home and he has always been driven by looking after people and improving their lives. The pair decided to sell to retire from the sector.

Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, St Cecilia has been sold to newly established care group, Nisi Dominus Frustra Ltd.

The sale of St Cecilia shows that there is demand for UK care homes from buyers all around the world.”

St Cecilia was sold for an undisclosed price.
