Thames side maidenhead hotel ‘The Thames Hotel’ goes on the market through Christie & Co

This highly successful hotel, which was built in 1886 and is fronting onto the River Thames in Maidenhead, has been independently owned and operated under the stewardship of the Owen family since 1994. The family have been responsible for substantially upgrading the hotel’s facilities and expanding the range of services on offer to guests and have widened the hotel’s customer base.

Featuring 33-bedrooms and extensive function facilities, The Thames Hotel has built a renowned reputation in Maidenhead for both accommodation and food and beverage offering. The hotel also has extensive bar and restaurant facilities on the ground floor, with an external River Thames terrace and potential to expand its offer with the current and approved planning permission.

The current owner, Cliff Owen feels the time is right as custodian of the hotel to step back and hand over to new owners, to further develop and enhance this highly successful business for the future.
