The Hylton Castle Arms in Sunderland acquired by new owner

Occupying a prominent position on Cranleigh Road, the pub had traded as The Hylton Castle Arms since 1959 and was a firm favourite among locals for many years until its closure in 2023. This presented an opportunity for a new owner-operator to purchase the site, refurbish the premises, and re-establish trade, or alternatively explore its potential for change of use, subject to relevant consents.

The pub was sold on behalf of the Robson family, who said: “We were referred to Christie & Co to sell our pub, and the process could not have been smoother and quicker.
