Zero Three Care was established in 2003 by Gary Leckie, Dr Katy Arscott and Jo Bungay, who had a strong vision to become the leading provider of acute learning disability services in Essex. The business, which focuses on younger adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, includes 76 beds across 12 specialist care services - 10 registered care homes and two supported living locations – and boasts an excellent reputation with commissioners and a referral base extending into the London Boroughs.
The owners decided to sell as it was time to retire and, following a confidential process, the business has been purchased by Sky Care Homes, a subsidiary of the Montreux Healthcare Fixed Yield Fund.
Gary Leckie, Dr Katy Arscott and Jo Bungay comment, “It has been a privilege to work alongside our service users, their parents, and our staff teams to provide high-quality care for people with a learning disability over the past 20 years. We are delighted to be able to pass the mantle to Sky Care Homes, who are dedicated to continuing the Zero Three Care ethos into the future.”
Oliver Harris, Director at Montreux Capital Management (UK), comments, “We are delighted to have acquired Zero Three Care, a business offering the highest standards of care. We look forward to continuing to make a difference to so many people’s lives and growing the business further.”
The sale was handled by Julie Kitson and Michael Hodges at Christie & Co.
Julie Kitson, Director at Christie & Co, comments, “We were pleased to have been instructed to sell Zero Three Care LLP and to have helped the Partners to retire early. Our clients have worked hard to create an excellent, reputable business which provides personalised care for people with learning disabilities, and we wish them every happiness in their retirement.”
Zero Three Care LLP was sold for an undisclosed price.
